Complex Chronic Illness

Care for patients navigating persistent, multisystem symptoms and unexplained illness.

What I commonly see

Complex illness rarely stays in one system. It shows up as fatigue, pain, brain fog, and a dozen other symptoms that don't seem related until you look at them together. Many of the people I see have been told their labs are normal, or that this is stress, or that there's nothing more to do. My work starts from the assumption that there's a reason, even if it hasn't been found yet.

My Approach

Complex illness doesn't come apart neatly, and it usually can't be solved by looking at one system at a time.

I start with the full timeline. When did things change, what happened around that time, what came first and what followed. Then I look at the whole picture  your history, symptoms, prior labs and imaging, exposures, and the patterns connecting them. Often the clues are already there, waiting to be seen together.

From there we work in a deliberate order. In complex illness, sequence matters  addressing things in the wrong order can make people worse. So we go carefully, we start where your body can tolerate it, and we adjust as we learn what's working.
